Dark King: Forbidden Riches

Step into a mystical dark fantasy realm with Dark King: Forbidden Riches, a 5-reel, 3-row slot by NetEnt featuring 20 fixed paylines. Released in 2020, this game welcomes Zimbabwean players to a medieval world ruled by the mysterious Dark King, boasting impressive visuals and a haunting soundtrack to match its theme.

Gameplay and Features

Dark King: Forbidden Riches comes packed with dynamic features to keep the reels entertaining. The Wild Multiplier feature is active in both the main game and Free Spins: every Wild symbol landing on the reels increases your multiplier, up to a maximum of x5. For example, two Wilds trigger a x2 multiplier, while five Wilds lead to a maximum of x5.

Free Spins are triggered by landing three or more dark red Scatter gem symbols:

• 3 Scatters award 10 Free Spins
• 4 Scatters award 12 Free Spins
• 5 Scatters award 15 Free Spins

During Free Spins, reels 2, 3, and 4 have a cross-shaped hotspot. Wilds landing in this area turn into Sticky Wilds, sticking on the reels for the rest of the Free Spins. Every Sticky Wild also awards one extra Free Spin, up to a limit of five extra spins. Bets can be placed from $0.20 all the way to $100 per spin, making this slot suitable for different budget levels. The game offers medium volatility, blending steady wins with a chance for bigger payouts. The RTP stands at 96.1%, which is competitive for online slots.

Theme and Design

Dark King: Forbidden Riches centres around a gothic, dark medieval setting. The symbols show off armoured warriors and mystical items, all set against detailed, shadowy backgrounds. The atmospheric soundtrack pulls players deeper into the experience, making every spin feel connected to the story’s dark fantasy world.
