Katmandu X

Katmandu X from ELK Studios takes you on a thrilling journey to the mystical scenery of Nepal, delivering striking visuals and dynamic gameplay. Released in 2023, this slot is the sequel to Katmandu Gold and brings upgraded graphics and an engaging casino experience.

Gameplay and Features

Katmandu X is set on a 6x6 grid, operating on a Cluster Pays mechanic where matching clusters of five or more symbols pay out. The game offers cascading reels, removing winning symbols and letting new ones drop in for more winning chances within a single spin. Players can look forward to a high volatility experience and a competitive RTP of 95%. With every spin, you could land a win of up to 25,000x your stake, betting from as little as $0.20 up to $100 per spin.

There’s a mix of colourful, low-paying stone orbs and premium symbols like griffins, tigers, dragons, and phoenixes. Wild symbols—golden flowers with a red gem—help build winning clusters by substituting any regular symbol, and Yin and Yang scatters set the stage for the main bonus game.

Special features include Exploding Wilds, which clear out surrounding symbols and boost the global multiplier, and Big Symbols of up to 4x4 in size, increasing your chance of bigger payouts. The global multiplier grows with each cluster win in a sequence, upping the value of subsequent wins in that round.

Hit three or more scatters and you trigger the Free Drops Bonus, which starts with seven free spins. During these free drops, the multiplier doesn’t reset, giving you the opportunity to land even bigger wins. More scatters mean additional free drops while the bonus is active.

The X-iter Feature Buy lets those wanting instant action jump straight into different bonus modes. This includes a Bonus Hunt option for boosted bonus chances, guaranteed Exploding Wilds, the Super Wild Strike feature, and direct entry to the bonus or Super Bonus with enhanced conditions.
