Scrooge Megaways

Step into the festive streets of London with Scrooge Megaways, a video slot from iSoftBet inspired by Charles Dickens' famous story, 'A Christmas Carol.' Released in 2021, this slot forms part of iSoftBet's unique Twisted Tale series, reimagining classic tales with modern slot mechanics.

Gameplay and Features

Scrooge Megaways offers a 6-reel setup where each reel can show 3 to 7 symbols, thanks to the Megaways mechanic. This gives you up to 117,649 ways to win on every spin. The slot comes with a Return to Player (RTP) of 95.98% and is rated medium to high volatility, suiting those who enjoy a bit of risk for rewarding wins. Bets start from 0.20 up to 20 per spin, making it accessible both for casual players and high rollers in Zimbabwe.

The reels feature festive symbols such as Ebenezer Scrooge, a top hat, Christmas dinner, and a ball and chain as the high-value icons, while traditional card values from Ace to Nine make up the lower symbols. Wilds substitute for regular symbols to help complete winning lines.

Scrooge Megaways uses cascading reels, so after any win, the winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into their place, which can lead to back-to-back wins from a single spin.

Theme and Design

Set among the snowy Victorian streets of London, Scrooge Megaways captures the classic Christmas atmosphere. The visuals and sound effects immerse you in the timeless story, making it an engaging choice for fans of both classic tales and slot gaming.

Special Features

Two main mechanics add excitement to your spins. The Hauntings of Christmas Modifier can randomly expand the reels to the full 117,649 ways to win or add extra scatters for more chances to trigger the feature round. The Scrooge Cash Respins are activated by landing five or more scatter symbols. This is a hold and win feature where triggering scatters stay locked, and you get three respins that reset every time you land an extra scatter. Special multipliers named Past (10x), Present (25x), or Future (50x) can appear, boosting your payouts at the end.

There’s also a Bonus Buy option in select markets, letting you buy instant entry to the Scrooge Cash Respins for 50x your current bet. With this option, the RTP increases to 97.00%.

Mobile Compatibility

Scrooge Megaways is well-optimised for mobile, running smoothly on both smartphones and tablets. Whether you play on Android or iOS, you'll get the same top-quality experience as on desktop, making it easy to enjoy on the go in Zimbabwe.
